The FoST Festival is open to everyone who is interested in experiencing firsthand the very latest and most-cutting edge immersive storytelling projects and technologies—from teachers and students to artists, designers, and technologists. Packed with interactive installations, performances by groundbreaking artists, and, conversations with leaders from the storytelling world, FoST Festival is designed to entertain, educate, and inspire.

Your one-day FoST Festival ticket includes free transportation to and from our venue, Snug Harbor Cultural Center on Staten Island; access to all of our exhibition spaces, featuring the latest storytelling projects and technologies; memorable performances by groundbreaking artists; and access to our conversation panels with some of the biggest names in the storytelling world today.

While FoST Festival is not specifically designed for young children, those six years of age and older may attend if they purchase their own ticket and are accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Please note that some exhibits may not be appropriate for children; parents and guardians are advised to use their discretion.
Travel to Snug Harbor is free and easy! Just take the Staten Island Ferry from lower Manhattan. Once you arrive at the Staten Island terminal, look for one of our FoST Festival volunteers, who will direct you to our free shuttle service to Snug Harbor.

The FoST Summit will take place October 4–5 at Snug Harbor Cultural Center, located at 1000 Richmond Terrace on Staten Island.
We provide transportation between Manhattan and Snug Harbor on both days of the Summit. On Wednesday, October 4th, check-in will take place at the East Coast Memorial in Battery Park, where we will board a private ferry together to begin our journey. On Thursday, October 5th, check-in will take place at the Biergarten at The Standard High Line, and we will take buses over to Snug Harbor together. At the end of both nights, we will provide a bus service to take attendees back to Manhattan. There is also a continuous shuttle running from Snug Harbor to the Staten Island Ferry, which will take attendees back to downtown Manhattan at any point during the day.
Because space is limited to only 500 attendees, the FoST Summit is by invitation only. If you received an invitation, you should have received a password to register in your inbox. If you think you received an invite but cannot find the code to register, please contact us at email@example.com. If you haven’t received an invitation but would like to attend, please submit an application on our website here.
Because space is so limited and our audience is carefully curated, invitations are non-transferrable. That said, we can accept transfers on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to request to transfer your invitation.

We receive an extremely high volume of requests every year, and while we would love to be able to accommodate everyone, unfortunately space is limited. But we encourage you to apply again next year! The Future of StoryTelling (FoST) is a passionate community of people from the worlds of media, technology, and communications who are exploring how storytelling is evolving in the digital age. In addition to an annual invitation-only summit (now entering its fifth year), FoST also produces a wide range of content and programming, including: curated exhibitions, including Sensory Stories, which showcased an array of new narrative experiences and attracted more than 45,000 visitors to New York’s Museum of the Moving Image and Montreal’s Phi Centre last year and this year; an annual series of short films, with upwards of three million views to date, highlighting the people and big ideas shaping the storytelling landscape; regular influencer salons, tech tastings, and storytelling workshops designed to strengthen and inspire content producers and distributors in marketing and communications; and a popular blog and other social media content aimed at FoST’s network of over half a million enthusiastic followers.
