Dream Map
Curated by cinematographer Shawn Peters, Dream Map uses the augmented reality app Traces to map the dreams of different people across the world via binaural and vlog/phone recordings, creating a rich tapestry of unconscious thoughts. Further into the project, a team of neuroscientists who specialize in perception will study the map for correlations within the shared dreams.

Traces is an augmented-reality app developed by a team of neuroscientists and designers led by Dr Beau Lotto. Research has shown that digital social platforms that emphasize passive broadcasting decrease human engagement. This is because the brain creates meaning by engaging in the world with those who matter most. By focusing on the experiential side of sharing, Traces is designed for the interested and interesting…for the creative in each of us.
