Serge Kassardjian (Moderator) - Global Head of Media Apps, Google
Serge Kassardjian is the Global Head of Media Apps for Google Play and Android. He currently leads global business development efforts with media companies including Entertainment, Video, Sports, News, Virtual Reality and Cable verticals. He was on the launch team for Daydream Virtual Reality, Android TV, and various Nexus devices. He formerly worked on incubation businesses in Google’s GeoCommerce division, focused on Payments and Offers, and was a member of the original Google Wallet launch team doing merchant partnerships. He also was a Venture Capital Investor at Globespan Capital Partners and Corporate Development Director in Sony Music’s Global Digital Business. He started his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. He received his MBA from Harvard University and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from Stanford, where he was the president of his class.

Kelly Alfieri - Executive Director, Special Editorial Projects, NYTimes
Kelly Alfieri is the executive director of Special Editorial Projects at the New York Times. She is the product lead on NYT VR, the Times’s virtual-reality platform, and has played a key role in initiatives including the launch of The Upshot and a redesign of the New York Times Magazine digital experience.

Prior to joining the New York Times, Alfieri was the vice president of Digital Content for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She has previously held digital leadership positions at Condé Nast, NBC Universal, and MTV Networks.

She is most interested in the intersection of content and product and how one can shape the other to give users extraordinary digital storytelling experiences.

Anthony Batt - CoFounder, EVP Audience & Marketing, Wevr
Anthony Batt is cofounder and EVP of Wevr, the leading virtual-reality studio and distributor. He is an expert storyteller who has achieved extensive success building audience-driven networks. Batt was the president of digital at Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst, a media studio creating programming for television, film, and the social web. Together with Kutcher, he cofounded Thrash Lab, a media venture with YouTube. As founder and CEO of Buzznet (SpinMedia), Batt built one of the most popular pop culture lifestyle companies from the ground up. Earlier in his career, he cofounded and was CTO of the big data software company EMC|Greenplum (Pivotal), and cofounded Digital Threads, a web-consulting agency, with Craig Newmark, that created craigslist.org.

David Dolan - Associate, Cinetic Media At Cinetic, Devon Dolan is responsible for leading the emerging technology and branded content initiatives on behalf of clients and across the firm's business units, with a focus on the film finance and media consulting groups. He consults for corporate media businesses, distributors, funds, and other private capital sources to shape strategies and evaluate, source, and structure investments in motion pictures and other content.

David Eisenmann - Producer, Google Spotlight Stories David Eisenmann is an award-winning producer at Google Spotlight Stories. He is formerly from Pixar and has been CG supervisor on award-winning films such as Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3, and Monsters University. Eisenmann is the producer of both the VR and theatrical versions of Pearl.

Emilie Joly - Founder & CEO, Apelab Founder and CEO of apelab, Emilie Joly's researches narrative experiences that push the boundaries between the physical and the virtual worlds. Constantly inventing new experiences using advanced interaction technologies, she is interested in defining a narrative grammar for interactive virtual and augmented reality. Her goal is to bridge the gap between storytelling and gaming through Spatial Stories, a platform she is building at apelab that focuses on interactive scriptwriting and prototyping for VR. Through the production of original interactive content made for VR, she hopes to help bring the medium into the mainstream.
