While storytelling tactics change all the time, one constant is the importance of creating compelling and memorable characters. In this workshop, participants join Titmouse’s Chris Prynoski and Antonio Canobbio as they introduce a new approach to character-building in animation.
As Creative Director and partner for Titmouse Inc., Antonio Canobbio is the concept artist and creative director for all Titmouse projects, including Metalocalypse, Black Dynamite, Motorcity, Turbo: F.A.S.T., Moonbeam City, and the studio’s first feature film, Nerdland. He began his animation career working as a layout artist in his native city, Paris, for Rooster productions and other Parisian animation studios until MTV brought him to New York. Joining Cartoon Network led him to Los Angeles, where he later joined his friend and former colleague, Chris Prynoski, at his new studio, Titmouse, Inc.
Emmy award winning Chris Prynoski is the president and founder of Titmouse, an animation production company with offices in Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver. With over 20 years of animation experience, his career began in New York with his work on MTV shows such as Beavis and Butt-head, Daria, and his Emmy-nominated creation MTV Downtown. Chris and his wife, Shannon, then moved to LA to launch Titmouse, a home for passionate artists making high-quality cartoons. Prynoski has helped bring to life a string of hits, including the feature film Nerdland, along with Big Mouth, Metalocalypse, Black Dynamite, Superjail!, The Venture Bros, China IL, Son of Zorn and many more! He wears many hats, including executive producing, show running and directing. He is currently in pre-production on his latest feature film, Foxy Trotter, starring Natalie Portman.
