Biography
Charlie Todd is the founder of Improv Everywhere, where he has produced and directed the group's work since 2001. Based in New York, Improv Everywhere causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places and has executed more than 100 missions that have involved thousands of undercover agents, including the legendary Grand Central Freeze and the infamous No Pants Subway Ride. The group&339;s videos have received over 400 million views online. Todd has been a house performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre since 2002 and was an improv teacher there for many years.

Improv 101

This workshop will introduce you to the basics of long-form improv comedy with an emphasis on acting on ideas quickly. You'll learn the methods behind a good improv scene, which can be applied to brainstorming and other collaborative endeavors. Everyone will have a chance to engage in quick, fun improv scenes. Motivated participants will also have the chance to work on longer scenes in front of the class.
